We are in the process of transforming our current 30,000 square foot facility into 116,500 square feet – approximately four times larger!  Not only will this expansion allow us to increase our aircraft production and service capabilities, it will also allow our guests to enjoy a brand new FBO featuring a deluxe lounge with café nook, private offices, pilot lounge & TV room, snooze room, as well as private restrooms with showers. Located just above our new FBO will be the home of WACO Kitchen - a unique dining experience overlooking the airport runway. With entrances from both the road and ramp, WACO Kitchen will be open to all. Along with catering services, this upscale and modern space will also be available for private events.

Centennial Aircraft Services

Aircraft Technician 

 

Centennial is an expanding our 145 Certified Repair station with Avionics and Aircraft Repair services. WACO Aircraft/Centennial is seeking a motivated and experienced Aircraft Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for individuals with any of the following experience:  Turbine, composite, tube and fabric. 

 

As an Aircraft Technician your responsibilities would include the following: 

  • Perform all manner of maintenance on multiple types of Certificated Aircraft in accordance with company policy, manufacturer’s manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations.

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair airframe and powerplant components and systems

  • Document work completed per company procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations

  • Perform minor maintenance on ground support equipment as needed

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity.

  • Other duties as may be deemed necessary.

 

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required

  • Three years related airframe maintenance experience required

 

General Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employees

  • Must be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair, and safety manuals

  • Positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance

  • Ability to obtain airport access badge

  • Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks

  • Licenses/Certificates: A valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate is required; RII eligible 

  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. 

  • Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required

  • Physical: Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs.; reads small print; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with component maintenance; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting

 

Work Environment Requirements:

  • May travel for training, to repair aircraft in the field, or to provide temporary support for other bases

  • May work outdoors, in weather as necessary

  • May work near moving aircraft and machinery

  • May work in a potentially noisy work environment

Electrical / Avionics Engineer

The engineering team at WACO is small, nimble, and cross-functional, offering each team member broad exposure to aircraft systems and manufacturing.  

 

WACO is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team.  As an Avionics/Electrical Engineer at WACO you will be responsible for the design of electrical and avionics systems on our exciting new aircraft platforms as well as the continued quality and performance of those systems on our existing airframes.

As WACO Aircraft is a small company with a diverse range of manufacturing processes, candidates are expected to be flexible and comfortable working on multiple assignments with varying subject matter.  This includes creating a prototype all the way from the design stage to physically building the hardware and systems.  Candidates should be comfortable working with both hand tools and power tools.  

 

Composites Engineer Experience & Qualifications

  • Ability to design and troubleshoot vehicle electrical systems

  • Proficient in computer aided design applications

  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics

  • Experience with Project Management 

  • Experience with Electric Vehicles preferred but not required

  • Team player, self-motivated and a quick learner

  • Aviation/avionics experience preferred but not required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering field preferred

Composite Tech

 

WACO is seeking a motivated and experienced Composite Tech to join our growing team.  As a Composite Technician you will work with composite materials to create parts to meet specifications and repair damaged items.

 

Composites Engineer Experience & Qualifications

  • Perform complete inspection of procured or fabricated parts and assemblies

  • Coordinate with Engineering in the determination and development of materials, processes, specifications, and related documents to be used in the fabrication, rework and repair.

  • Lay out, assemble, pre-fits and bond a variety of composites or laminate fabrications, parts, skins or equipment.

  • Review and follow specifications per print to determine parts to be bonded as well as the required pressure and temperature.

  • Properly operate the water jet machine by placing proper material on table as defined by prints, create optimal cut path that saves as much material as possible, cut parts.

  • Ensure all settings are correct daily/weekly

  • Maintain the pump and filters on the water jet

CAD Engineer

 

The engineering team at WACO Aircraft is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of a CAD Engineer with our future aerobatic aircraft project.

 

Composites Engineer Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience reading and creating engineering technical drawings

  • Familiar with SolidWorks 3D modeling and assembly features, including surfaces and mold design

  • Strong research skills and an ability to perform trade studies

  • General knowledge of industry and governmental regulations and standards

  • Composite experience a plus

  • CSWPA a plus
